Americas Cardroom has announced the dates and schedule for the third running of their Online Super Series which includes over $500,000 in guaranteed tournaments
The third running of Americas Cardroom´s Online Super Series (OSS III) is going to be bigger and better than ever before. Sixty-three events scheduled over the ten days between March 28th and April 6th will offer players the opportunity to display their skills at a wide variety of poker formats, with the opportunity to win a share of the combined $594,950 guaranteed prize pools that have been announced to date.
Highlight of the series is the $215.00 buy-in Main Event, which will offer a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool to those fortunate to cash in the tournament on April 6th; while on the previous Sunday (March 30th), the regular Sunday feature event has had its guarantee raised from $50,000 to $75,000. Also within the schedule are Omaha tournaments, the popular 4-Max tournaments, Bounty events and a “Hyper Mega-Stack” event in which players will start with 25,000 chips and small blinds, but levels increasing every three minutes.
Plenty of Qualifying Satellites for OSS III
One of the reasons for such an early announcement of the Series is to allow players plenty of opportunities to qualify for the primary tournaments through a comprehensive satellite schedule. Three satellites are running everyday offering six seats into the Main Event, and there is also a freeroll route players can take into the daily Main Event qualifiers.
Satellites into the eight highest buy-in events are also running daily and, on every other Sunday (starting this Sunday – 26th January), Americas Cardroom site is hosting a “Passport Tournament” with a buy-in of $55.00 which guarantees two entries to all eight of the primary tournaments (worth $2,188). A daily $44.00 unlimited re-entry satellite is also available to players who fancy a crack at winning entries to both the $500.00 buy-in OSS events with a combined guaranteed prize pool of $100,000.
This year it has also been confirmed that players who qualify multiple times for an event in OSS III will have “Tournament Bucks” credited to their accounts to enable re-entry into an event (if required) or to enter other tournaments with a comparable buy-in. With there still being fifty-eight days until the series starts, there is the likelihood that a number of satellites offering guaranteed seats will be under-subscribed and a genuine opportunity for early birds to grab some extra value.
Last Year´s Series Paid Out $1.3 Million
Last year´s Online Super Series paid out $1.3 million in prize money, with the biggest winner being Virginia-based poker player “WiVil” – who walked away with the leaderboard competition after winning two events (including the Main Event for $38,200) and cashing in four others. This year it could be you, so download Americas Cardroom and take advantage of the early qualifiers to increase your chances of cashing in Online Super Series III.
