Americas Cardroom Adds $10K to Sit n Crush Prize PoolAmericas Cardroom has decided to give Sit n Go players an extra financial incentive in March by adding $2,500 to each week´s Sit n Crush leaderboard competition

Sit n Crush is Americas Cardroom´s leaderboard competition which rewards players for the amount of Sit n Go games they compete in – rather than rewarding them in relation to how they perform.

Each week from Saturday 00:00 (ET) until Friday 23:59 (ET), players are awarded points according to how much is contributed from their Sit n Go entry fee to the Sit n Crush “Jackpot”, with the points accumulating over the week until a winner is announced.

Prize winners receive cash payments (top prize is usually a couple of hundred dollars) and tournament tickets to the next big Americas Cardroom qualifier. Currently tournament seats are being awarded towards the super-satellite for the OSS III High Roller Event, which will be played on Sunday March 9th and which guarantees a minimum of twenty seats to the $50,000 guaranteed target tournament.

Sit n Crush Added Prize Money Throughout March

Throughout March, Americas Cardroom is adding an extra $2,500 to each week´s competition – making a grand total of $10,000 in added prize money. The added prize money will be distributed among the top five players – adding a considerable incentive for those towards the top of the leaderboard to put in some extra volume:

  • 1st place – $1,000 added
  • 2nd place – $600 added
  • 3rd place – $400 added
  • 4th place – $300 added
  • 5th place – $200 added

How Points are Awarded for Sit n Crush

When a player enters a Sit n Go or “On Demand” tournament (excluding heads-up Sit n Go games), 25% of the entry fee goes towards building the Sit n Crush Jackpot. So if a player was to enter a $10.00 + $1.00 Sit n Go game, $0.75 would be kept by Americas Cardroom for hosting the game and the remaining $0.25 put into the prize pool.

For each $1.00 that goes into the prize pool, players are awarded 5 points. So, for each $10.00 game with a $1.00 entry fee that a player competes in, he or she would earn 1.25 points toward the Sit n Crush competition. The points add up, and the top 50-60 players each week have a cash bonus added to their bankrolls at the end of each week.

Earn Double and Quadruple Points in “On Demand” Games

“On Demand” Sit n Go games are similar to regular SNGs inasmuch as they commence when a pre-determined number of players have registered for the tournament. However, unlike “regular” Sit n Go games, late registration remains open for six levels (usually an hour) to allow more players to enter and build a bigger prize pool.

For the sake of the Sit n Crush leaderboard completion, players who enter “On Demand” Sit and Go games before a game gets underway will receive quadruple points towards their position on the Sit n Crush leaderboard; while those who enter a game once it has already started will receive double points. It all leads to plenty of action on the Americas Cardroom Sit n Go tables.
