Carbon Online Poker Series Starts Next Weekend

Posted on November 1st, 2013 by Todd Wilkins

Carbon PokerCarbon Poker has announced that the site will be hosting its own online poker series from next Sunday with more than $1.5 million in guaranteed prize pools.

Carbon Poker is taking the bold step of launching its own series of online poker tournaments in association with its sister site – Aced Poker. The Carbon Online Poker Series (C.O.P.S.) will start on next Sunday 3rd November and be comprised of 85 events over fifteen days; culminating with ten Main Events on Sunday 17th November, which are scheduled throughout the day to enable players from all over the world to participate.

The decision to launch its own poker series comes as a bit of a surprise – as the network to which Carbon Poker is affiliated already hosts the successful Poker Maximus series – but it will allow Carbon Poker to host a wider variety of tournaments, with a range of buy-ins to suit the preferences of its existing clients – and possibly some new ones too!

With their recently improved cash outs we consider Carbon Poker to be one of the better options for US players. If you do not know this poker site yet, make sure to check our Carbon Poker review.

C.O.P.S. Highlights Start on Day 1

As with most online poker series, the highlight events fall on Sundays, and the Carbon Online Poker Series kicks off at 4.00pm (ET) next Sunday with a $215.00 buy-in Super Deepstack NL Hold´em tournament that has a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool. A satellite qualification series is already in progress for this event, although players with a more modest bankroll might be more inclined to enter the $11.00 Deepstack event that starts 30 minutes later (guaranteed for $15,000).

The middle Sunday of the series (November 10th) is pretty much a mirror of the first Sunday´s action, with the inclusion of $33.00 buy-in HORSE tournament (guaranteed for $3,500), and between the highlight events players will find further events played in 7 Card Hi/Lo Stud Poker, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo and STUF – an unfortunate misspelling of “STUD” which appears on the Carbon Poker website.

Ten COPS Main Events

The final Sunday of the Carbon Poker Online Series sees ten Main Events starting from 2.00pm (ET) until 6.00pm (ET) with ten different buy-ins for people with pockets of all sizes. The guaranteed prize pools for the Main Events will be substantially larger than on the preceding Sundays so, for example, the $215.00 buy-in Main Event has a $150,000 guaranteed prize pool and the $11.00 buy-in Main Event has a $15,000 guaranteed prize pool.

You can find details of the other eight Main Events, and the full schedule for the Carbon Online Poker Series, by visiting the Carbon Poker web site through our link below and selecting the “Promotions” Tab and then the “Learn More” button. The COPS promotion page has full details of the daily satellites which are taking place to qualify for the COPS Main Event and also the satellite program for each of the other poker tournaments which form part of the Carbon Online Poker Series.
