Carbon Poker Reduces Late Registrations for TournamentsIn a move intended to pacify complaints about extended late registrations, Carbon Poker has reduced the length of time players have to join some tournaments.

Readers of the popular 2+2 poker forum may be aware that for several months there have been ongoing complaints about the length of late registration on some Carbon Poker tournaments. Indeed, the $530.00 buy-in Sunday Super High Roller tournament (starting at 10.00pm) has a late registration period of six hours!

The complaints were mostly leveled at the lower buy-in events, with many players stating that they were unable to complete tournaments with a 9.00pm start because late registration went on until 12.45am, and they had to get up for work in the morning. Furthermore, players jumping in at the end of a late registration were playing with fewer than 10 big blinds and reducing the tournaments to short-stacked shovefests.

Now, Carbon Poker (and its sister site Aced Poker) has re-organized its guaranteed tournament schedule, with new tournaments being introduced during peak times and late registration periods in many of the games being reduced from 3 hours and 45 minutes to just 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Carbon Poker Tournament Changes

With the exception of the Sunday Super High Roller, the Sunday $100,000 Big Ticket and the Nightly High Roller, the changes to the late registration time limits apply to all deep stacked tournaments. The lengths of each level has also been reduced (from 15 minutes to 12 minutes) and some of the higher buy-in events (33.00, $60.00 and $109.00) have had their guarantees cut to reflect the reduction in the late registration period.

Some new tournaments have been added to tournament schedule for a trial period, and in different formats. Therefore, players at Carbon Poker will now find a wider range of tournaments played in turbo and hyper-turbo formats, as well as more Omaha, Stud, HORSE and Badugi events. There will also be an extended range of daily satellite qualifiers to enable players to win seats into the target tournaments from as little as $1.10.

Changes Fall within Mission Month

The changes to Carbon Poker´s tournament schedule come within the site´s current promotion – Mission Month. Players who complete each day´s missions are rewarded with a seat in a $500.00 freeroll and missions range from playing in one raked ring game hand to entering the Sunday “Big $2.20” tournament.

Each Thursday´s mission is for players to reload their accounts, and in order to encourage players to top up their bankrolls during the month, Carbon Poker are offering reload bonuses of 75% up to $375.00 (deposit $500.00 – qualify for a $375.00 bonus) throughout March, but on specific days only – and with specific Carbon Poker bonus codes.
