Ultimate Gaming – the first site to launch real money online poker in Nevada – has announced a partnership with Peppermill Resorts to extend its online product.
Ever since Ultimate Gaming dealt its first hand of real money online poker back in April 2013, the site´s fortunes have been going downhill – mostly due to the superior poker product offered by WSOP.com and because of the transient market that comprises the Las Vegas market.
However, a partnership recently announced with the Peppermill Resorts Group aims to buck the downward trend and generate a new source of players from a location where the player database is more static.
Who is the Peppermill Resorts Group?
The Peppermill Resorts Group is based in Reno – in the north-west corner of Nevada – and, in addition to its flagship Peppermill Resort Spa Casino, the company operates four more casinos in the area – the Peppermill Hotel Casino and Montego Bay Hotel Casino in Wendover, and the Rainbow Hotel Casino and Western Village Inn and Casino in Sparks.
The deal with Ultimate Gaming will allow players in north-west Nevada to deposit and withdraw funds from any of the casino cages, making it more convenient for them to play online at Ultimate Poker. Billy Paganetti – Peppermill Resorts´ General Manager – said
It is great for Peppermill to be able to provide their players with exciting and secure online poker product with a trusted partner like Ultimate Gaming.
Partnership Subject to Approval
The partnership between Ultimate Gaming and the Peppermill Resorts Group still has to be approved by the Nevada Gaming Control Board before online poker for real money can start at the Peppermill properties, but Tobin Prior – Ultimate Gaming´s CEO – did not appear to have any concerns about the deal being rubber-stamped when he said:
We are very excited about this partnership as it gives us the opportunity to bring our online poker product to the Northern Nevada market through Peppermill’s extensive customer database.
Ultimate Gaming´s Antonio Esfandiari also chipped in that he “loved” playing at the Peppermill and it was great to know that he could deposit into and cash out of his Ultimate Poker account while he was there.
Ultimate Gaming Trying to Survive in Nevada
Despite being the first site to provide real money poker in Nevada, Ultimate Gaming has been a poor little brother in the State since WSOP.com launched in September 2013. The site also faces competition from South Point Casino´s RealGaming.com, which soft-launched last month, and is taking steps to improve its position in the regulated marketplace.
In addition to partnering with the Peppermill Resorts Group, Ultimate Gaming recently signed Danielle “dmoongirl” Andersen – star of the online poker documentary “Bet, Raise, Fold” – as a sponsored pro, and engaged the services of WSOP bracelet winner Jason Summerville to produce a series of “Run It Up” training videos for the site.
New players at Ultimate Poker can also take advantage of a series of new online poker promotions which include a $25.00 “free play” no deposit bonus, and a first deposit bonus of up to $500.00, and benefit from the frequent overlays that can be found in the Ultimate Poker $20,000 “Sunday” tournament.
